Mummmm, I make toasty dog that's similar. Inspired by a school lunch hot dog wrapped in white bread and baked.
I roll out tube Grande Biscuits into an 8" flat and roll the dog with cheese and onions into it, pinch the ends and bake.
I also use pre-cooked bratwursts. A toasty Brat!!

That is not to far from the food processor recipe I used this fall. I would skip the French Dressing and use sugar as an acid reducer.
