The world is a completely insane place and I live in existential dread most days. So here’s a super cute pic of mochi bunnies to be a temporary distraction. Also, they were delicious.

A weekend surrounded by incredible female historians was exactly what I needed right now. Thank you always to @wawh.bsky.social for everything you do and the incredible community you foster. We need you, and each other, now even more than ever.

This perfectly encapsulates why the constant stream of news updates I get from one of the humans in my house exhausts me.
Having a very bad time where I feel like I’m quasi dissociating 90% of my conscious hours because if I think seriously about my life “plans” or the general trajectory of current events for more than like 30 mins I feel utterly stupid & lost about what I’m doing/why I am doing it.

With the hellscape that is our country right now, it’s the little things that really make my day. And seeing a familiar face singing at the start of a hockey game for my favorite team was one of those things @gaylindathegood.bsky.social

My child is killing me tonight. He has decided that the Lady Galadriel is Elsa and that Gandalf is Hagrid. He knows better, he’s just trying to torment me 🤣😭

I have a pattern for sugar skull granny squares that I do desperately want to crochet. Do I need to make something out of yarn when I live in a tropical environment? Probably not. But… sugar skulls. Can’t resist.

In the face of the growing existential horror that is life right now, I’m considering posting stuff on AO3 for the first time. Because adding that anxiety right now seems smart.
