Someone once said NextDoor is the social network for dogs if they could type. It’s always “what’s that noise?” and “who’s that stranger?” which is exactly what I imagine my dogs would text other neighborhood dogs.

I’ve made more of an effort to buy locally, and I’ve found some pretty awesome places and people in my neighborhood. Yes, the convenience of clicking a button is nice, but making connections and showing support is more fulfilling and rewarding.

Twitter was never my thing. I have difficulty expressing my thoughts in written form, but I’m moving away from all Meta platforms and giving Bluesky a try. If there’s ever a time to push past my comfort level and find my written voice it’s now. You’ll see me here a lot more. Hi Bluesky!
