Oh that`s a word I`ve not heard in many a long year ! No one seems to use simple honey recipes any more . I guess it`s due to potential allergies . Yet honey and lemon in hot water is still one of the most soothing things for a sore throat . Honey and cider vinegar for arthritis . I could go on !

I love the " Berserker " pieces . I saw them in Edinburgh some years ago . I spent hours just looking at them . The workmanship , time and artistry needed to carve the pieces was mind blowing . The faces of all the pieces had their own personality . Just stunning !

Apart from the wonderful and poignant memories they bring back , they are a part of our social history . To see the way houses were decorated , the clothes people wore are a little snapshots of time . To think they were once the height of modernity .
