Fire was my beat when I was a reporter at @vicenews.bsky.social and so of course the fire chief’s remarks in the (movie’s) press conference are ringing in my ears: “Every year there are more fires and they’re getting bigger. We’re being damn fools.”

It’s interspersed with real footage and it’s absolutely breaking my heart. It makes me think about all the babies in Palestine who are dying and dealing with horrific trauma day after day with no hope in sight.
