A fungi query - we found these white fungi growing down along a hedgerow, covering ~2x1 metres of the slope. A funnel species maybe? The caps appear scalloped at the edge in some but not others. Cap diam 10cm approx. Gills cream/white. Tough stem. Spore print didn't show much! #FungID #FungiFriends

I guess possibly but it would be v uncommon in Ireland, I think. I've added another less close-up pic below where it looks way less upright and more laid back! The photography isn't great but this plant was pretty low growing and tangled among the other hedgerow plants.

Cat's-ear gone wild. A stem of cat's-ear (Hypochaeris radicata, Cluas chait) that seems to have fascinated, started a bloom and then turned it into about 10 new stems, all of which bloomed! Leixlip, Co Kildare. #WildflowerHour #TráthnamBláth
