the scent in the white and black one is going deeeeep brown which is a helpful thing to know. i even put a vanilla stabilizer and tons of TD in it

in other news i made a hair product on the fly and put a bunch of the musk scent i love in it and it's driving me nuts! it's so good. and it's all in my hair

the peril of being any kind of maker is that you need to like. get rid of all the stuff you make some how. also recoup some of the cost. this is why so many people try to sell their stuff. but it also sucks, bc then you have to think in the mindset of making something marketable.

Tried to make an Ilya soap today and forgot to put lye in one of the oil batches so I had to pour it out of the mold and rework it. Cursed but the scent is so so good

My really poor quality video i sent to Marmalade handmade to try and qualify to list my products on their website. They wanted a video of a "process" to prove my artwork is not AI generated. In which I say... It's soap idk what to say.

I'm ill and trying to relax so I made a wood grain soap. Cue me looking like Lucy in the chocolate factory trying to get it in the mold before it totally seizes up

My first attempt at a pot swirl (which is lol the most basic of techniques) went sideways bc either my fragrance or new oil blend went from 0-60 to trace. But it still looks good! I need to figure out how to not get cuts that are so smeary. Probably need to cut when more set. Cardamom scent that's 🤤

Not the best photo, but I played around with wall pours and hanger swirls yesterday for this one. I cut two slices off when it was too soft, so I'm going to wait for it to set more before I go at it again.

Putting it out there that there needs to be a guide to hanger swirls that helps people understand how different types of swirling techniques produce different results. It breaks my brain. I guess I need to learn how to make videos

Every time I watch a soap making video I get extremely jealous of the amount of space people have. I work on one tabletop. It's definitely a "spread out" and "little messy bits" craft.
