Can't read the full article. But I'm sure you mentioned that some D/Ps a) don't want to give appearance of supporting a US strike on Iran, knowing it won't be about concern for average Iranians; and b) have a current focus on ICE murdering people, etc. I.e. It's not out of sympathy for the mullahs.

No liberal protests immigrant felons being deported. But ICE just continues to demonstrate unjustifiable use of lethal force. Reversing repeatedly into an empty car is not aggravated assault. And after shooting them, they allowed this allegedly dangerous couple to drive away? Who does THAT protect?

Did I claim blocking roads was legal? But they weren't; cars were getting by, incl 1 of ICE's. And they weren't impeding ICE - they weren't actively arresting immigrants. And anyway, MPD is authorized to address traffic issues. Not ICE. And none of it justified shooting her. He should be charged.

Many legal experts say that ICE did not have jurisdiction to order Renee Good to exit her car, much less try to open her door. There are other legal experts who say they did. Obviously not settled law. So, let a grand jury decide. For that & so many other points of law & protocol. You barbarians.

Also, that bobble at the end doesn't prove he was hit. He had to adjust his hold to fire his gun. And why was he videoing at all in such high stakes? That's what body cams are for. Other videos don't show him being in mortal danger. Or any danger at all that he did not explicitly put himself in.

So? She had a legal right to be there. This video does not vindicate him. It shows: open road that ICE could use to go around her, like other vehicles did; an order that she get out & ICE trying to open her door, both without cause; & him walking in front of the car, against training. And gunfire.

No one should want anyone to face a split-second decision of whether to stay or drive away when ICE officers yell both leave AND get out of your car then try to open the door. No one should want anyone to be mistreated the way DHS trains ICE officers to mistreat human beings. Fixed it for ya.

Especially because they also face the threat of violence in their country of birth. The man who killed the NG soldier had PTSD, from his work for the US military. He also found out a fellow Afghani soldier was denied asylum. US veterans kill over less than that, with PTSD always a factor.

Foreign nationals who assisted the US military in Afghanistan etc, especially in forward positions, should be given as close to US veteran status as possible, with the same access to care. We know what PTSD does/can do to our veterans. Why would we think it would be any different for Afghanis?
