Walt Disney himself said that this was, and I'm quoting here, "essential to understanding the duality of the man-slash-goof"

This is a good opportunity to mention again that Goofy is a werewolf. He's a cartoon werewolf, and I know what you're gonna say. You're gonna say, "Then how come he never turns into a *man*, Jon? Huh?" Because then he'd be a cartoon man, and he's not a cartoon man, he's a cartoon werewolf, smart guy

Today I’m thinking about the flat faced werewolves like Wolf Man and Oz from Buffy… and also the snout men werewolves like from Van Helsing and Dog Soldiers.

I think if I was a werewolf, I’d be ragin if I was one of them flat faced ones.

Same thing that intigued me so much about Daredevil as a kid was, like Miller once said, it's a miracle that he's not a bad guy. It makes you want to stick around to see what it is exactly that's keeping his head above water.

Grinning like a mail slot at a map of Antarctica and rubbing his little hands together so avidly that the room begins to smell of melting plastic.

Definitely seems he'd been expecting at least some affirming "uh-huh"s from whoever he was talking to ...

Always wondered how MAD translates its pun-based gags for international editions. In this German edition of MAD Magazine #208, instead of calling their Superman The Movie parody "Superduperman" (Or Stuporman, as MAD would later use), it's "Supermarktman" -- "Supermarket Man"
The cover to MAD Magazine 208, US Edition, depicting Superman flying Alfred E Neuman over Metropolis, as he upchucks into a "Super Barf Bag" The interior spreadf featuring SUPERDUPERMAN German edition cover, the puke bag is now labeled "Super Kotz Tute" Interior page from the German edition labeled "Supermarktman"

"Sooper Man" on the cover of the first issue of U.S. military preventative maintenance magazine Army Motors, April 1942. Love how spooky and strange the cloaked figure is depicted. Looks like Lynd Ward's Superman.
A soldier reading a magazine called Sooper Man, with a parked military truck visible outside the window.
