Tbh it was a given for me, never gave it much thought. I'm a stale white male who campaigned a lot against violence against women and gender inequality along with LGBT (QIA not as recognised back then) people/orgs as part of the fight for equality. c.2010 there wasn't anything like this hostility.

Went to Barca 15 years ago, spoke decent 'Spanish'... clocked after a couple of days that the rolling of eyes and responding in English was because I was speaking Castillian 🤦‍♂️ Given that Catalan looked like an entirely different language, I reluctantly resorted to English, went down much better!
