I mostly enjoy photographing landscapes and wildlife, but also, anything that catches my eye.
I don't really mess with saturation or vibrance too often and that's true for this photo as well. It's crazy how much the green came out so bright and vibrant!

Rainy days are for the birds

I got pretty lucky the first bird landed in front of a tree with new growth. Love all the little pops of yellow. It was dumping rain off and on today here and when it would lighten up a they'd came out to grab some insects and grubs out of the garden.

These are some throwback images from a star party we went to at @robertfergusonobservatory

The first image is of Andromeda's galaxy and the second is of pleiades star cluster. These were taken with my zoom lens at 200mm and the Andromeda photo is three images stacked if memory serves me correctly

Dreaming of adventure filled horizons on this rainy day. This photo is a throwback to a trip out to Florida a year or so ago. We had just flow past a large storm.

This western gull is probably one of the first times I realized how fun it is to bring out the character of an animal in photos. Seagulls continue to be one of my favorites because they're packed with personality.

I'd love to see your photos of personality packed animals!

The weather is about to unleash an atmospheric river on the northern half of our state. So, I'm taking the time to go back through some old photos. Do you ever look back at photos and realize some of them aren't as bad as you first thought? What do you guys like to do when there's inclimate weather?

First post on Bluesky, and I thought I'd post two of my favorite places. Tomales Point in the foreground and Bodega Head in the background.
