While i agree that AI is bad, existential dread is not necessarily part of the making of earnest art. Nor would AI necessarily take such dread away, if it is there as it is no person and the dread as such is irrational.

Heidegger resigning from the rectorate is at best a testament to his own elitism and self-importance ... not of any relevant political differences between him and the Nazi movement. The belated publication of his private notebooks makes this abundantly clear.

You shouldn't read Heidegger. He was a dedicated Nazi and his texts are full of hidden and subtle reactionary crap.

Honestly, your point there is bad. Baldness is a cosmetic issue, obesity is a great health risk and structurally the result of bad food/eating habits brought about by capitalism. People wouldn't care about the looks of obese people in the future, but they would be concerned for their health.

Not sure if that is true. SM algorithms want interaction and that needs controversy and hate to get people involved. And that means folks would still create content to hate even in a more fascist society ... possibly targeting different people/issues but not exactly changing the system.

Klingons not fitting into warrior culture is interesting and we got in TOS/TNG era - but 1,000 years later such issues should be different. Say, a Klingon warrior being weird. Or a Klingon interested in expansion and conquest. But not a Klingon being a doctor or scholar etc.

And thus I'd also say that the setting of the Fed/SF sucking is bad. This is 1,000 years in the future. They should be different, and not in need of lessons from youngsters. Ditto - how much does it suck that the Klingons are still warrior culture? Can't there be any cultural development or change?!

Must say the worst part of DIS is the Burn and some medieval dudes living in the early days of the Federation telling the future what it is and what it (or they) stand for. That is a joke. Not to mention the Burn as such being a dilithium (medieval tech) problem did also suck.

No need for a spoiler warning. This episode aired in the last millennium.

Yes I know. Prodigy blew my mind. Were just asking because my parents watched TOS as kids and it is or was kind of a kids SF show here in Germany, in part due to the dubbing. Prodigy should work better I think.

Can you by any chance drop me some lines or mention in a post or the early review if the show is also something for younger kids? I'm thinking if I could interest my niece (12) or my nephew (8) in it. Is it too grown-up or adult for such kids? Not sure if I should bother them muxh with old Trek.

That changes over time, keep watching.
And in the better written earlier episodes she is not denying aliens as such but aliens on earth ... which is not sooo bad as they are not here, thankfully, and also haven't buult the pyramids in the past, lol.

You should keep in mind that older white folks can identify with people who don't look like them or who are much younger than they are. Some might not (want to) do that but you basically do the job of the assheads by affirming a gendered/aged/racial divide there when that is purely ideological.

What if I reply? What will I say? Good thing you can find comfort in the send button. Tying the press of it to your ever-growing arousal.

And all I have to do is watch the screen as you unravel, mm

Ist das überraschend? Die linke Szene ist halt nicht die vegane Szene und umgekehrt...
