In concept, fantastic. Execution wise definitely is a mixed bag depending on which community and people you ask about their experience there.

I was vaguely on there before I gave up shouting into the void because I could not find a community there. But essentially you could either host your own or join a community. I like to think of them like discord servers. You talk with people from other servers but might not necessarily be in them.

People really like that platform than I thought they would if it's a hill they're willing to die on omg 🫣

I feel like people are just tired of how broken social media by big corps are that they're looking to almost any other alternative. Which is fine, unless you're a small business/artist trying to get sales through one of the many broken social media platforms 😔

My assumption is that it was the anti-ai stance and the communities that did migrate there seem to deem it as safer? (Not sure if this is true since I haven't used it outside of the demo)
