Cali Miller · 2 days ago · I've created a group called The Resistance as a coalition to protect our people from ICE, and authoritarian overreach by the federal government. While Shelby County is unlikely to be targeted for ICE raids at this time, I think we should have a plan in place for if and when that threat reaches our area. Some of the objectives of this coalition would include: 1. Being on the watch for ICE activity, and report it to the your fellow residents. 2. Showing up to ICE activity to peacefully protest and record what is happening to share with the world. 3. Showing solidarity with our immigrant neighbors, and making them feel welcome in Shelby County. What it does not include: 1. Violence against ICE agents 2. Doxing ICE agents 3. Vandalism If you are concerned about government overreach and the threat of ICE against our community, you are welcome, regardless of political affiliation. Democrats, disillusioned Republicans, Independents, you are welcome. This goes beyond politics. This is a moral issue. This is about humanity. If they can do it to immigrants, they can do it to you. This time of year, I see all the American flags, and the red, white and blue garb, but it's hard to feel patriotic. It's hard to hold any allegiance to a government that locks children in dirty unhygienic cages, and asylum seekers in concentration camps. to a government that perpetuates systemic racism in the criminal justice system. to a government that has turned war and prisons into for-profit ventures out of sheer greed. to a government that takes away food, healthcare, medicine, and aid from the most vulnerable among us, to give tax breaks to the the ultra rich. July fourth is Independence Day. A celebration of the day we declared our freedom from British tyranny. Unfortunately, not everyone who occupies this land we call America, is free. And until everyone is free, I have nothing to celebrate on this day. Instead, l'll do my part to make freedom for everyone. I will help educate people, and stand up for others. My allegiance is to my God, my family and friends, and to humanity.

I swear, delivery drivers are making me crazy. They keep taking packages to the side porch, many times leaving them out in the rain, or groceries out in the sun. I had professional, reflective road signs made that say to deliver to the front door, yet they still leave them on the side porch.

Just mounted a HomePod, an IR blaster, and a power brick to the ceiling in my studio, and got it hooked into my track lighting.
