Doesn't matter who owns that company or who the booker is, there is just something within that company where they will always shoot themselves in the foot when there is the tiniest bit of momentum. Even at their peaks back in the 2000s and early 2010s this ALWAYS happened.

Okada/Tanahashi was great. I haven't been a regular New Japan watcher since about 2016 or so but I have incredibly fond memories of 2011-2016 and the rise of Okada and his feud with Tanahashi was basically THE hook for a lot of that time.
Having it one last time was perfect.

Up to this match so far the only match that has been anything other than shite was the womens match so nice to see something actually good here.

On the plus side, I FINALLY got my job offer I've been waiting months for and I don't start until March so I have a bit of time to continue to try get somewhat caught up with this damn company that seems to have 800 hours of TV every week.
