Cello, or maybe a trombone. Some kind of musical instrument for sure.

The way it's going i'll likely end up being able to save money by just cancelling and buying the day 1 games I do want, the other Ultimate features I can likely live without. (And the Perks page hasn't included anything for anything I actually play in months)

Skyhold, so full of life and people, so many side conversations to explore and secrets to find. I feel like a small part of me is still there, as a dwarven woman enjoying a rooftop picnic with Sera.

Wildest part is reading that there's been a Fast & Furious collaboration (where's my Dom skin and "I don't have friends, I have family" emote?)

To the tune of Fly me to the Moon:

If you're hiking the price once again can you at least put console and cloud streaming back in the Xbox app?

29. Drones #SST25
A day late but here we are, posting 30 separately as it'll be the final and longest entry in this whole deal.
29. Drones
Within the Lower Forge, intricate systems spread throughout, feeding power and materials to the complicated systems spread throughout, from the power collectors on the outside all the up to the component fabricators within maintenance, and these systems weren’t maintained by themselves.

Patrolling the Lower Forge were a series of drones, humanoid automatons with arms and legs, spider-like crawlers able to get into the smallest gaps where needed, and even ball shaped ones, able to roll along and get to the most urgent repairs where needed.

Along with these were also a series of security drones, ready to deal with any intruder, thieves, or saboteurs. Mostly they kept well hidden, and were armed with a variety of weaponry, including darts filled with a toxin able to suppress all kinds of fantastical abilities that any intruders may have.

Hope E33 gets GotY, such an incredible game they really deserve it!

I imagine they'll keep EA Sports going, but it looks bleak for the rest of their studios, can only hope they sell off some of them rather than shutter them

It's my birthday! As a gift, can I ask you to share my art?🙏

I love drawing vibrant fantasy illustrations, especially in the field of TTRPGs. And speaking of TTRPGs, check out the post below for more fantasy goodness ⬇️✨
Illustration of Mollymauk Tealeaf from Critical Role's the Mighty Nein. Molly is sitting and smiling at some shiny moths that are playfully surrounding him. Around him there is an art nouveau inspired arched frame. Illustration of Caduceus Clasy from Critical Role's the Mighty Nein.
Caduceus is sitting with a serene expression, playing with some golden butterflies surrounding him. Around him there is an art nouveau inspired arched frame. Illustration of a blue-skinned character with asymmetrical horns, reminiscent of a half moon. The character is casting a pearlescent, bright spell. They're in a room at night, standing on a decorated pedestal on the floor, in front of shelves full of books. Illustration of a knight and a pegasus, behind them a blue sky with golden sunset clouds.
The knight is wearing shining, ceremonial armour in silver, blue and gold. In one hand he holds his helmet, the other hand is stroking the nose of the pegasus. The knight’s head rests delicately on the horse’s, in a gesture of delicate friendship. The pegasus is raising one of his wings to hug the knight in return of the gesture.

26. Superliminal and 27. Station #SST25
I don't know for sure if i interpreted the definition of superliminal correctly, but I hope I still wrote something interesting.
26. Superliminal
Wensleydale lay within the quarantine bay she’d been taken to, despite the healer’s best efforts, she’d been unable to cure the parasite that was slowly overtaking the dragon.

As Wensleydale resigned herself to this fate, she lay locked within this chamber, though surprisingly this hive mind consciousness that the parasite had seemed to allow her to feel other perspectives, even if it was slowly making her feel less connected to her own body. Sure she could see the four walls of her cell, but at the same time she could see a far off mountain landscape down on the planet below, along with a war torn battlefield where the parasite had taken over a dying soldier.

Eventually she’d be entirely taken over by this hive mind, but for now she could at least enjoy these alternate views, rather than simply remaining helpless, lying there within her cell.

It may take hundreds of years, but eventually she is found, cured, and fully restored. While the parasite was eradicated from the planet below, being eradicated once and for all by those wielding great power to cure Wensleydale.
27. Station
The Forge of Arcanum was a wonderful, yet at the same time terrible space station. Hidden above the planet below it had powerful cloaking technology to avoid detection, while only a few knew of its existence and guarded the secret closely.

The station consisted of two main sections, with the Upper Forge consisting of three floors, the topmost containing living quarters, a luxurious observation deck, and an advanced medbay with cloning technology. The middle floor contained the main reception, where two robotic administrators waited to serve the station’s owners however they saw fit. The lower floor contained elevators leading to the Lower Forge, along with the hangar bay, and a set of greenhouses in front of a small animal enclosure.

The Lower Forge was where the space station manufactured terrible weapons. It featured a factory floor, a whole robotic maintenance crew, assembly stations, and at the bottom there was a large bay where the Godkiller was being built, a humanoid figure the size of a skyscraper, ready to be piloted to deliver destruction beyond what anyone had ever seen before.

24. Testflight and 25. LASERS #SST25
24. Testflight
Victor sat in the cockpit of his tiny craft, the council’s prototype, slightly annoyed at the fact he was chosen for this task due to his size compared with the others, but it mattered not, so long as all went well, he’d soon be the first of them to get to go into space, and to be able to look out upon the planet from above.

He was nervous, sat in a tiny lightweight craft, crystalline engines ready to propel him upward, he had faith it was going to work, but even so he couldn’t help but wonder whether it could go wrong. He had all his magic and abilities to fall back on, but he hoped he could make it through safely and uninjured, especially considering his girlfriend Vaylin was watching.

He sealed the canopy, primed the engines and set for launch, everything seemed ready to go, he just had to hope.
Before long he was soaring, propelled forward and upward faster than anyone had been before, parts of this flimsy test craft shaking and flexing in a concerning manner but managing to hold on as he rose, higher and higher into the sky, far above the cloud layer before passing through, the majesty of space suddenly being revealed bringing a tear to his eye.

He spent a few minutes in space before carefully making a descent, managing to land safely despite a couple of the engine mounts snapping during the return journey.
25. LASERS
Ordinarily, there would be no way to send commands between the Forge space station and those on land, though those clever enough within the council of arcanum were able to figure out a method.

A laser, a concentrated beam of energy sent up at precisely the right time of day and sent up at the precise angle needed, would allow for a communication to be sent to or from the Forge, allowing for information, orders, or supply requests, along with notifying the hidden base station of the calculations for the next days transmission.

It was this laser system, this method of communication, that allowed one council member, still alive after centuries, to order the machines on the surface to gather particular supplies for him, allowing him the parts, along with genetic samples, that would allow him to create something, or someone, truly monstrous.

Seeing this just reminds me of when in lockdown the guy who played Spartacus started streaming on twitch with his name often being misread as "Mrs Party Pants"

22. Fire! #SST25
Trying a more poetic type thing for this one, not sure how it works, but my players named their party the Fire Brigade so this feels somewhat appropriate.
22. Fire!
Fire, the most used element wielded by the adventuring party known as the Fire Brigade.
Fire, the action used to describe an attack using the firearms that most of the members wield.

This party, formed around the rescue of a lone investigator, and endorsed by a powerful nobleman before being joined by his firstborn daughter, now looks set to destroy a great evil sitting in orbit, The Forge Space Station.

Fire, the command likely to be issued, setting off a chain reaction to destroy the station, as the Brigade make a daring escape, returning to the planet as heroes.

19. Missiles and 20. Ruins #SST25
These were hard to think of anything good to write about that matched up with the Forge station.
19. Missiles
Missiles, a hidden defence system set up around all possible approaches to the forge. These high explosive devices were set up in such a way that they could be fired by anyone who connected themselves to the man/machine interface within the control room.

Though at this point, no one ever fired any missiles, and after almost a millennium, it’s entirely possible that these missiles may never be fired, being left to degrade within the firing chambers dotted throughout the forge’s exterior hull.
20. Ruins
Hidden deep within a cave atop a rocky outcropping within the northern salt bluffs was an ancient bunker where one of the council’s top scientists went into hiding. He’d kept it safe and had even built a dimensional portal within, allowing his terraforming device to be hidden elsewhere, far outside of the hands of those who would misuse his device.

He knew that one day people would eventually come looking for his passkey to the forge, but knew that that day may come long after he had passed away. He decided to take drastic action, constructing a device capable of holding his consciousness. He perfected everything about it, then when the time came, sat in his chair and began the transfer, his body expiring in the process.

17. Mercenary and 18. Ambush #SST25
17. Mercenary
The adventurers tasked with finding and destroying the Forge space station were initially hired as a group of mercenaries. The soldier Jarrus had been gravely injured and trapped within a lifeboat when the group came to his aid.

Needing allies for his investigation to find this forge before a strange group of cultists got their hands on the tools to access it, he offered the three young people work. Amazingly they all started working well as a team, together finding the first below ground bunker containing one of the access keys they required, before returning to the soldier’s home base, now able to report in.

His mercenaries ended up being rather loyal, so their employment was extended, now being managed by the special forces branch the soldier was a member of.
The group have been loyal to the cause this long, but it remains to be seen what will happen once they destroy the forge station, if they even destroy it rather than seizing it for their own gain.
18. Ambush!
The adventurers were traipsing through a boggy swampland, mud caking their boots as they all moved along in pursuit of the teleporter that’d beam them inside the forge station.

They spotted a trio of what looked like human bodies, lying face down in a bog, unmoving. It was only when the young mage Faith stepped in and attempted to try and administer some healing did the creatures attack. Looking like bloated human corpses with extra appendages and limbs, these creatures lunged at the group.

The party took the battle to these creatures, shooting, blasting, and cutting them down, and while one of their allies had been knocked down, a small amount of healing energy restored her, and the party were victorious, managing to fend off this ambush in the swamp, becoming one step closer to making it within the forge station.
