I've been moderating in JRPG spaces for a while, and the only times I'd ever see discussion get more heated than with Chrono Trigger fans is with old vs. new Fire Emblem fans. People are *invested* in CT

There's a "main theme" and a prelude (sometimes called the "crystal theme") that plays in most of the games in the series. The victory fanfare is also usually similar

Trails is a series, not an anthology, so not starting at the beginning (Sky) is like jumping into Attack on Titan or Game of Thrones in the third season. Yeah, you could make it work, but it's gonna be tough and you'll miss a lot of what's going on. That said, the 4th and 5th games are my favs
