Or maybe it actually can't be observed as I can't tell if the original owner used the option to recall a Pokémon for if your Pokéwalker gets lost/damaged (thus effectively cloning it in the original game and on the Pokéwalker)? IDK.

Since I plan to get my DS modded I'm now looking at preowned Pokéwalkers, and ngl seeing the proof of working images with the Pokémon trapped on them makes me kinda sad. They're like Schrödinger's Plates. Schrödinger's Pokémon
