Finished reading the Godsrain novel. I'm only superficially familiar with Pathfinder lore, so those more invested might get more from this than I did, but still I thought it okay. The stated stakes suggested an urgency that wasn't really felt until perhaps the end, but it was an easy read and-

Dirty Pair Kickstarter stuff arrived (only took nearly half a decade). I'd hoped to be completely done with anything Crunchyroll after this, but they just sent an update saying some discs might be mislabeled and they need to send replacements, so guess this disaster isn't quite over.

HG RX-124 TR-6 [Hazel II]
Like most AoZ suits this is a cool looking machine. As for the model, given how crumbly the Woundwort was I worried how the Hazel II would fair w/those Com Shield Boosters. In MS form its actually relatively sturdy, yet MA form doesn't hold poses very well. #gundam #gunpla

Finished reading Letter of the Law. An enjoyable and quick read showcasing/suggesting that the ilClan era will be even more chaotic than the Dark Age (you're a rogue unit, you're a rogue unit, EVERYONE is a rogue unit!). And more FWL focused fiction is always nice. #Battletech #Booksky

HG Gundam Lfrith Ur
The Heavyarms Magical Girl Version. Nice how easy it was to put together. Like GM level easy. Maybe because most of the parts are rather bulky. Articulation is pretty good, and the arms have no problem supporting the weapon, at least over the short term. #gundam #gunpla

HG RGM-79HC GM Guard Custom
Big shield is easily the charm point. Sadly (and as expected), wrist joint doesn't handle the weight too well, so exaggerated poses with shield are difficult to pull off. Still, when it's that big you don't really need fancy techniques to be impressive. #gundam #gunpla

Some minis I painted up over the past few weeks. Blurry eyesight and lack of fine paintbrushes make doing missile warheads kind of a stressful disaster, but oh well. Satisfied at least with how the Bulldogs and Long Toms turned out though. #Battletech

Book haul arrived today. Given my already huge wall of unread books I hadn't planned to get more, but B&N had a triple stamp promotion a few weeks ago, so I took advantage, emptied my bank account, and ordered some things I'd intended to get "eventually". Guess eventually is now.

Been playing Cyberpunk 2077 and I hated driving vehicles... until finding a Caliburn. Now I drive it everywhere. Fast travel no longer needed. (The Akira bike is actually kind of fun too)

Union dropship painted up. Not especially happy with how it turned out, should have used the airbrush for this instead of hand painting, but oh well. Guess I can just claim that those Succession Wars really do a number on paint jobs. Also wanted Ver.Ka levels of caution markings, but got too lazy.

Was tired of only having mechs and fantasy minis to use for Five Parsecs From Home, so I bought and finished painting these. W/water effects I've done a bit of wakes/whitewash before, but never actual splashes so was worried about the running Shoretrooper's basing, but I think it turned out alright.

My "Books Read" number is a bit misleading as most were manga, so like the number of full novels read is significantly lower. However, the books I did read this year were generally all quite good. #GoodreadsYearinBooks

My brother gave me this kit last month for my birthday, but I've only now put it together. A partsformer, but transformations are easy. Poses well, even (surprisingly) in gerwalk mode. Now just need to decide how to display. Generally like gerwalk forms, but more airplanes are always good.

Battletech Mercenaries Kickstarter stuff arrived, unleash the vehicles! The faction dice look nice, but feel a bit cheap, don't have much weight. The challenge coins on the other hand both look and feel high quality, wishing now I'd gotten more of them.

My brother took a trip to Japan and brought these back for me. The Gundam is surprisingly detailed and posable, while the Gunner Zaku Warrior is quite cute (I can imagine an adorable army of them just marching along). #gundam

Finished(rushed) painting up the Howler which was the last of my unpainted Battletech minis, so 100% of my minis have been painted. Now I can feel accomplished... at least until Kickstarter stuff arrives, then it'll be time to put the paintbrushes back to work. #Battletech

Painted up Jaime Wolf's Archer. The gold pinstripes turned out good enough, but I'm not really happy with how the Dragoon insignia I tried to paint onto the base looks. #Battletech
