State Route 203 at the Mammoth Mountain gate is now closed for the winter following this week's storm. This closure impacts access to Reds Meadow, Devils Postpile, and Minaret Vista. State Route 203 closes annually to accommodate winter activities at Mammoth Mountain.

A sunny Saturday made for excellent trash removal weather. At the Artesians east of Bishop this weekend, @caltrans9.bsky.social joined @friendsoftheinyo.bsky.social, ESLT, and volunteers to pick up litter for Coastal Cleanup Day.

111lbs of trash was collected by noon. Nice work everyone!

State Route 178 (Walker Pass) and the Crestview Safety Roadside Rest Area in Mono County have reopened from their previous closures.

State Route 178 (Walker Pass), east of Canebrake, will be under one-way traffic control as crews maintain the roadway and vegetation.
