That's a pretty weird, judgemental and closed-minded take on that.
Any other books you believe people shouldn't read or should be judged negatively for reading?

I just wish they'd stop pandering to him. When he shows off his signature like a kid with his first finger painting, it'd be great to see the photographers just shrug and look at it him

"So you're saying it's a 'maybe'?"

Every time I've heard someone use this term I've replied with "Oh, you mean middle management?"

I dunno if I'd agree with not making progress. Unlike other similar games, enemies don't respawn in BG3. There is no grinding or forced levelling to do.
Everything you do, whether it's exploring or side quests, is all progression.

I loved everything except the combat. The lock on mechanic just felt really clunky and made it a pain to smoothly fight multiple enemies.
Plus the countering\master stroke system essentially makes actually attacking and using the combos more dangerous than sitting there and being totally defensive.

I hope so, as the alternative is that they get so downtrodden and riled up that they kick off a war against whatever groups they've been brainwashed into blaming

That's part of the con though. You make them miserable and then blame it on the current popular enemy (immigrants, Communists, liberals, etc) and promise to fix it. And they'll believe it and keep voting for them.
