I make games for fun in exchange for sleep.

Some placeholder assets now all the technical stuff is out of the way. It’s time to have some fun!

Starting to realise how awesome Asesprite is by the way.

Definitely just doing Megabonk as a FPS. #gamedev #godot

Jolt physics engine vs frame skip for distant enemies. Who knew optimizing could be fun? #Godot

If you were/are a solo games developer, would you use AI generated art if you weren’t able to create it yourself or would you commission through an artist, and how would you verify if their art isn’t AI generated?

Added some very low pixel count placeholder animations to give it some juice! #gamedev #doom #vampiresurvivors #godot

Prototyping an idea I had for a FPS Vampire Survivors-like and it’s already fun. #gamedev #godot

@fireescape.bsky.social very pleased to hear @danryckert.com and Mary were cooling off from Silksong with British Bake Off.

Please feel free to discuss this season on the next episode. I especially would love to hear your thoughts as this season is shaping up to be a good one!

A bit of progress on my Pico 8 game. Ran out of sprite sheets so my enemies are just my heroes with flipped color palettes. Seems like every solution in this game engine follows a resource problem!

Returning my Miyoo Flip and getting an RG35xxSP. Half the fun of getting a handheld is adding CFW, so I’ve definitely learned my lesson to wait before buying a new handheld model.
February 4, 2025 at 8:06 AM
Actually the Miyoo Flip stock FW is giving me the shits. Postmaster and Pico8 are sitting in the directory but don’t work, none of the roms in port32 actually work, ES doesn’t have PS for some reason (I’m sure I could get it to work). Definitely wait for solid CFW and for the hinge issue to be fixed
February 1, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Just received my Miyoo Flip in the mail. Stock firmware is actually decent but I miss Onion OS and the hinge feels pretty cheap. @retrogamecorps.com mentioned in their video that the next release will have a steel rod hinge, so honestly I’d wait for that if you haven’t ordered one already.

Problems sleeping? Just set up your switch on your night stand, play Ace Attorney with the joy cons detached while in a sleeping position and you’ll be in the land of nod in no time!

Made a little archer dude for my Pico 8 tactics game. Starting to have fun making pixel art.

Just look at the little guy!

It’s finally here!
New video: what's the state of Bloodborne on PC via ShadPS4 emulation? With resolution, frame-rate and feature enhancements, is this the closest thing we'll get to the remaster everyone wants? Tom reports: youtu.be/-zjzBbdl7hk

@bsky.app please add the option to upload your own GIFs. It’s so efficient to showcase games in development this way!

Currently working on a tactics game for Pico 8. Never used Pico8 or coded in Lua before but I’ve done some pretty cool stuff here.

The menu box is completely dynamic and the area of movement is a fundamental path finding/search algorithm.

Hey I’m new here. Deleted X/Twitter because it’s become the sound board for people that peaked in high school and codgers that started living rent free in their 20s.

I love video games and making video games and just want to interact with positive like minded people and show off some of my work.
