This is also why I think you are right on when talking about context. Asking why is what creates the context. And creating context is fun 😉

I'm reminded of art school critiques. A student says "I like the colors." Which adds nothing to the discourse. Then the teacher challenges them to create context with "WHY do you like the colors?" This creates discussion. To me, this seems to be Dan's goal with fun and challenge to all of us.
