It’s funny, amnesia is such a well known trope in PMD, but it’s never a natural consequence of being summoned to the Pokemon world.

In Rescue Team and Super, it was an intentional choice their Heroes made. In Explorers, it was caused by an unrelated accident. And in Gates it didn’t even happen.

I’ve been thinking of a different possible angle. Since all Pokemon are descended from Mew, being able to use all moves, adaptations we designate as predator/prey aligned are moreso focused on better, specialized uses of such moves.

For example, biting moves for fangs and leaves for photosynthesis.

Sometimes I wish I could have the ability just completely remove myself from the art I make to make a better judgement on how good it looks, it always looks worse to me than most people think and I don’t think that’s a good thing all the time xwx

Not much of a Gates thought, but I do find it neat that Theme of Despair is written in 3/4, meaning you can play it as a waltz. Speed the song up and you can easily hear it that way.

Meanwhile Theme of Hope is played in 6/8. Not sure if that means anything but I’d like to point that out as well ^w^
