💡 Remember: people are not vulnerable, it's the situation they're in. And because situations change, vulnerability is often temporary .

It’s thanks to a grant from the #ChewingGumTaskForce, funded by the chewing gum industry, for councils to remove gum litter from the streets, and provide tried and tested behaviour-changing signage to prevent future gum littering www.cambridge.gov.uk/news/2025/06...

You may have seen our crews out early in the last couple of weeks clearing chewing gum litter from Fitzroy Street and New Square. You may also have seen our new (or should that be ‘mew!’) signs encouraging people to put their gum in litter bins.

This week is National Air Ambulance Week ✨🚁

To show our support, we have been lighting up the Guildhall every evening this week in honour of the lifesaving work of air ambulance teams and the generosity of the communities that keep them flying.

Today marks the 80th anniversary of VJ Day - the day the Second World War came to an end.

A commemorative service was held at Great St. Mary's Church followed by a flyover of the Catalina Flying Boat.

Today we remember the courage of those who served in the war.
