Would doing an extension for Smith get some mitigation against injury? Might there be a win/win where he gets money up front, a little higher salary, while Eagles save money on years after five if he's healthy?

Chip Kelly was a special kind of stupid. Deserves his own Rushmore of rock headed moves.

Was the oline coach from the team with the most sacks not available?
February 9, 2026 at 7:42 PM
Wait, so next year we're going to be disappointed with the Eagles season to the point of coach getting fired. Dark. Talk about spoiler!

Wait, we're still gonna have elections? [Celebratory cheering]

Based on comments you've made in other articles, it would seem that your top 3 draft crushes are less likely to catch Howie's eyes. First three round offensive crushes?

The Bucks lowest scoring quarter was 27 points. It's also hard to win.
January 28, 2026 at 4:08 AM
Thanks for the condescension. You wrote that not accounting for Maye running "beat Denver". Denver not being able to move the ball aside from one shot play is worth a mention. Am I supposed to write champ now?
January 26, 2026 at 3:06 AM
Poetic. That and, you know, not being able to score. Or move the ball.
January 26, 2026 at 1:47 AM
Rewatch it Les. QB is moving backwards after the throw. But the ball is behind the release point for sure.

Truth.

Do you feel like there is a mismatch between the fans' expectations that the right OC fixes everything when next year, a) if Brown and Dallas leave it's Smith and guys off the street at WR; b)an OLine where Lane is approaching expiration date, Landon never healthy, and overrated C?
January 23, 2026 at 9:17 PM
Maybe if they can play better than .500 at home?
January 23, 2026 at 1:29 AM
Maybe the lack of attractiveness is that if the Eagles offense clicks next year, it's because it was 'supposed to' with the level of talent. It's hard for the new OC to stand out? In much the same was, Roseman gets the credit and Nick gets the blame. Lose/lose.

I wish they had considered Bieniemy.
January 21, 2026 at 5:49 PM
Pretty ageist perspective. Was Fangio an uninspired hire? Kellen Moore was 37 and the Eagles won the SB playing a style of football that was invented decades ago. Bring in OC who maximizes the talents of the team, and demands effort and execution. Old people often have a Plan B and C.

Explains Mr. Smith as the first entry, lol.

Look, I'm only an amateur economist, but don't these weather scares just move consumption versus increase it? Outside of salt, are people buying things they wouldn't have bought otherwise? Are they pouring milk down the drain when the forecast is wrong? The restaurants might be the losers.

Appropriate to have a host from Stranger Things because we're in the "upside down".
January 18, 2026 at 4:06 PM
HCs are going to exhaust HC possibilities before sitting for OC interviews, perhaps.
January 18, 2026 at 4:04 PM
Overall point is spot on. I'm a little sympathetic to the PTSD of Flyers' fans who've had a looong stretch of bad seasons, basted in horrific decisions about players (some beloved) and draft picks. Oh, also Philly sports discussions with Philly fans is sort of the model for social media, lol.
January 14, 2026 at 8:39 PM
McDaniel and Fangio seems like a bad pairing.

Looking at the Stay votes and Jimmy should be flattered that so many members of Patullo's family read his articles. The rest, I assume, are Cowboys' fans.
