Goodbye Elon. Grandchildren, Gardening. Archaeology, Current Affairs, Interiors, Climate and Weather.
So sorry. I lost my Mum last November. It doesn’t feel real really.

Crazy! I’m in South Somerset and it feels as if it hasn’t stopped raining for days now.

Yesterday I saw that a freelance journalist decided to apply to ICE to see what the process was, it took her six minutes to be offered the job.

Hello from normal Europe where everything is pretty good compared to what’s happening over there 👋
He and Vance talk about London being ‘broken’ or some such nonsense. Can assure everyone it’s quite fine thank you very much.

My husband just said that this is the rambling of a drunken tramp with his bottle of something in a brown paper bag.

I really think that Mark Carney hit the nail on the head with his speech yesterday. The change that has occurred is quite scary, but we need to be with like minded nations and recognise that this change has happened.

I agree. It also has an affect the other way around. A huge amount of new build around here in rural Somerset with only one Doctor’s surgery in the small town nearby. No building of surgeries and schools with the new houses, which seems a bit nutty.

Well that certainly is interesting. From all the chat, (you can probably tell I haven’t looked at the details) it sounded like it was a plan to build on some bucolic ancient landscape. Pleased to concur! I hope you can tell I wasn’t against you, just concerned.

I totally agree about homeless families, but there are still many many places free to build. And I’m totally aware of the desperate need for affordable and more importantly, social housing. I just feel that with this situation a solution should be found that makes everyone happy.

Apparently the view from the garden has survived for centuries. Aren’t some things, beautiful and historic, worth preserving? Beautiful green spaces accessible for all, for mental health? I know we need to build, but this doesn’t sit well with me.

I’ll have to check them out! If feeling brave!

Same! Wasn’t there a railway crossing one too? All horribly disturbing to watch as a child!

Agree! He’s obfuscating!

It’s being mentioned on the Laura Kuensberg BBC programme this morning. Wes Streeting did very well in repudiating it.
