Downloading! I think you made a better version of what I released a few months ago!

I dove a bit into state updates here tonight, and doesn’t seem like that’s the culprit, unfortunately. I really think it’s SwiftUI. :-/.

As an FYI, very much appreciate the feedback and ideas. Very cool to get great ideas from someone also working on a Bluesky app. Love this community.

I reluctantly added iOS 18 support to make one guy on Reddit happy. Maybe I charge up an old device and see how it performs without Liquid Glass on a real device.

I hope this reply adds in @jaxonevans.bsky.social as well, still learning what ties in replies lol.

One difficulty is, my personal/primary test device is an iPhone Air, which I am finding odd heat/throttling issues in general. Hard to know what I see vs what iPhone Pro users see lol.

Good idea, I didn’t think about that. Will give me another avenue to look at.

It’s my first time working heavily with SwiftUI and seeing a lot of feedback when searching of “well, SwiftUI is bad at that”, which is a bummer. But figured it was best path for future.

Yeah, you suggested that setting I think and I gave it a go and didn’t see improvement here either.

I think I made the wrong bet with SwiftUI for this specific use case. But will keep iterating and trying to improve!

Did you turn off the images and video from the new settings I added? Or just happened to not have any?

Nice pickup! The team was so great back then.

Yes, it’s actually a point of conflict in my marriage lol. My wife works at SAIC and we went to the opening.

I didn’t really get it at first, but I’ve seen it ~5-6 times now and it grows on me every time I see it.

Pro tip, there’s a good coffee table book on it in the gift shop.

It’s one of the best exhibits I’ve seen at the Art Institute in a while, maybe since the Obama portraits?

Just a regular guy from the neighborhood.

Email is nice because if you send feedback, I know who it’s from, but have a public link as well.

If it’s your standard DF email, can use that, or feel free to send it to me at hi at cameron.software, or DM here.

When you have it, I’ll have a few notes for you as well!

Oh man, I never knew you started in Chicago! We live right by the Vic/Laugh factory now, wish we would have been there back then!

Now kids these kids are just risking it all drinking regular lemonade from Panera Bread.
