Similar comments happened when this was still with the Bellevue Planning Commission. People asking Bellevue to do anything it could to subvert the state.

These people have had decades to "understand the impacts of housing" and the impact has been sky-high housing costs and lack of inventory. They've had their chance to act on alternatives for over 20 years.

Ugh this is disappointing. How do we shift our messaging so it lands better? We're not saying a coffee shop can't build as much parking as it wants, we're just saying it shouldn't be required to. Parking is expensive. I couldn't open a business if it was required.
