Retired enjoying life. Proud Canadian.
I’m curious what does Pierre P. know about the real problems facing Canadians up there in his taxpayer funded estate?

Maybe do, but seems to me it would decrease questions about foreign interference for example.

It seems as we all get older and with social media we all end up more or less living in our own bubbles.

I’m thinking we need to go back to delegated leadership conventions.

Seems to me Ukraine could just carry on without the US.

Btw, I should have watched your presentation before I opened up my big yap. Apologies.

Sounds like can’t right now reasonably ship oil sands crude via tanker cars. Can they ship unprocessed bitumen via hopper and process it at the receiving end?
February 6, 2025 at 3:48 AM
I like your presentation and your reasoning is excellent. Only issue is can we trust the Americans to play along with all of your assumptions? I’m not so sure we can anymore. Thus tipping the equation towards building at least a pipeline into Ontario to hook up with Line 9.
February 6, 2025 at 3:34 AM
Further, if US really wanted to be pricks, they could use their own oil or imported oil to replace all or part of their Canadian imports. Canada and certainly Alberta are reliant upon the revenue. That puts us in a very vulnerable spot.
February 6, 2025 at 3:31 AM
Given the irrationality of what Trump just did and continues to do with the tariff threat, what guarantee do we have that the Americans wouldn’t shut down the supply into Ontario? No guarantee really. That leaves us very vulnerable.
February 6, 2025 at 3:28 AM
Setting aside Trump, did the Michigan Governor, a Democrat, try to shut down Line 5 for environmental reasons? I assume Line 5 is part of Enbridge Mainline?
February 6, 2025 at 3:26 AM
So what happens if the Americans shut off the pipelines feeding into and supply Ontario?
February 6, 2025 at 2:34 AM
Be nice to see the math against pipelines. Further what price do you put on energy security for Ontario?
February 6, 2025 at 2:25 AM
There ya go, @fordnation is still a sell out
February 3, 2025 at 10:21 PM
Except US UAW leader has said he can see some positives in tariffs.

Premier Scott Moe is a sell out. We travelled out west a couple of years ago and we were quite shocked at the poor roads and infrastructure in Saskatchewan. Scott Moe has not been good for Saskatchewan and it is clear he is not good for Canada.

Mexico only delayed the inevitable.

He can’t help himself. Conservatives aren’t reading the room. The polls indicate he is now in a horse race with the libs. This approach will only turn more Canadians off.

Scott Moe wants to militarize the Canadian Border.

So time to stop playing the game. We need to take care of ourselves and get moving towards a future where we are not held hostage by the US.
