Lupe the goat is still shocked and appalled at the cutting of USAID. The meager assistance being given by the US government (<1% of the annual budget) wasn't enough, and cutting it will cost tens of thousands of lives annually. He's pretty sure that's not what Jesus would do.

Abendagoat likes the parable of the Gold Samaritan. He knows Jesus wants us to show mercy, and he hopes we listen to our indigenous siblings enough to recognize the call to mercy is not limited to human peoples, but inclusive of goats, all Creation, and even landscapes.

Marshmallow the goat knows God doesn't send floods as punishment despite what ancient myths may say. Instead she knows the good goatherd who takes on the big issues hurting people - like climate change, concentration of wealth in the powerful, and a lack of radical community.

Paco the goat knows that Jesus wasn't just talking when he said the greatest commandments of loving God and loving neighbor are similar. Paco is pretty sure it's the absolute core of Christianity and a lot of American Christians need a refresher course.
