It’s confirmed that the ICE/DHS occupation in Minneapolis and Wisconsin is being ransomed for voter registration rolls. They already tried fighting for this in Oregon courts. Looks like we know what’s next in Portland.

With the #SNAP / #foodstamps disruptions looming I made a calendar of the hours for Portland area orgs providing free groceries or meals to anyone in need. Hopefully this makes it a bit easier for anyone in need to find resources within their availability.

This week we secured a major step forward for renters — My ordinance banning algorithmic rent price fixing passed out of the Homelessness and Housing Committee!
Now it’s moving to the full City Council for a first hearing on the morning of Wednesday, April 2nd.

Whenever I travel something insane happens
Dec. 2019: drove 1000 miles, 90 days later the world shut down
Dec. 2022: stuck in SF for 2 weeks in the Southwest backlog
Aug 2023: planned to travel to SoCal & got a surprise hurricane
Next month: in Amsterdam, & now the US gives worldwide travel advisory
