My list of discarded (but still beloved) hyperfixations is long and varied. Currently mostly into cats, cemeteries, and Star Trek.
It would also not proudly suggest “want a” as a typo correction for insisting on transcribing me saying “want to” as “wanna” - like this whole apparatus is fucking stupid

There is no such thing as wasted knowledge. Also education is something that builds on itself exponentially. The more you know, whether you are tested on it or not or specifically use it for a task, the more you are able to understand more quickly when you’re trying to learn new things.

Just FYI ultimately the last holiday isn’t sad. It’s one of the best Christmas movies!

I want you to know from the bottom of my heart that this reflects incredibly poorly not only on her but on you.

These dipshits would’ve spent all of their time screaming about George Takei and Nichelle Nichols if the Internet had existed in the 1960s

I don’t think kids these days understand what absolute insufferable fucking snobs (complimentary) we were about music in the 70s and 80s and it was a badge of honor if you were a fan of hers because she is top-tier

Like my friends and I were nostalgic for shows that were made for boomers and silent gen because that’s what we watched when we were kids. Younger generations are nostalgic for reruns of the shows that were made for them specifically. And yes now the content is coming from all directions
December 4, 2025 at 1:56 PM
Yes but I was thinking more about the transition from cable being entirely reruns to younger Gen X and millennials having a ton of shows that were created for them specifically and then the old movies and old reruns faded out as necessary filler as more original stuff was available.
