Today Lorna attended the CAN-EMPOWER launch. It's a fantastic online resource helping with the psychological / emotional aspects of cancer. A great piece of joint work between researchers (CentRIC+) & patients/carers. Well done to all involved.

As a fellow Scot of the same age Glenn Campbell is a well-kent part of Lorna's adulthood in his role as a Scottish journalist and broadcaster. It's great to see how this documentary highlights so many aspects of living with cancer (specifically a brain tumour for Glenn), from the low points to the high points and the effect on daily life. It also highlights something dear to our own hearts, the benefits that can come from interaction with, or learning from, other patients. As cancer patients will know, there are some benefits that can ONLY come from other patients, no matter how much our medical teams, family or friends wish it could come from them. We wish Glenn all the best with his treatment and thank him for raising awareness and letting people see what the reality of his situation is. We also send our love to him and his family, and Lorna hopes to watch him on TV for many years to come."
