Thanks for replying! We are firm believers in rescue animals. Still can’t believe the shelter tried to talk us out of her. She was so great with my ADHD son from the first meeting. Ran right up to the gate and tried to get him to pet her, then sat right in his lap in the get to know you room.

She looks like our Dixie. We rescued her in 2019, when my son was 6. We are her 4th family. We were told she wasn’t good with kids and she needed a single animal home. After a LOT of training, she LOVES the dog park and is my son’s partner in crime. She does have separation anxiety issues though.

I had to explain Cal Worthington to my son a few months ago. It was fantastic. He still sings “go see Cal go see Cal go see Cal” every once in a while.

Absolutely! It’s disgusting yet powerful when you understand how rhetorical devices are used. Unfortunately, I still fall victim to marketing campaigns and get suckered into buying things I don’t need. But don’t we all?

I taught rhetoric in high school English using Aristotle, Monroe, Johnathan Edwards, and founding fathers’ writings. Then we’d jump to present day commercials and politics. I taught from 2007-2017. Students were baffled by how often and how easily they were manipulated through words.

Switch VPs, I’m pretty sure there’s a way…

I’ve been saying this since the day after the election! The GOP doesn’t have a hold on the cult w/o 47, they needed him to get their hooks in the WH. Now that they’re in, they are letting him implode. But Vance isn’t the golden boy they were hoping for. Wouldn’t be surprised if they swap VPs first.

You are an absolute inspiration. May your colleagues see your leadership and join in the fight. We need more of you and this in our elected officials. Keep at it good sir!

Yep, definitely not shopping there like I used to. But we’re trying to cut back overall. Our overconsumption has gotten out of control.

The problem is the next in line is just as bad if not worse than he is. We need a complete overhaul to get them ALL OUT.

Further, these types of lessons aren’t possible when we mandate specific canned curriculum and strip teachers of their autonomy.

Proof that a lesson doesn’t have to be meticulously planned with multiple transitions or fancy buzz-worded objectives to be RELEVANT, IMPACTFUL, and lead to deep learning. I can guarantee those students will remember this lesson and those concepts well into adulthood. Bravo Teach!!
