Half the purple ones will be brined. The other half, just sea salt.
The green ones we've pitted, ready to sugar them for 'spoon sweets'.

@alfdubs.bsky.social lost many friends and family in the #Holocaust. Fortunately for the UK, and for Alf, the UK offered him sanctuary. On #holocaustmemorialday I think of the children like Alf who did not survive and the refugees of today who find the doors to sanctuary closed.

Or when Farage said in the European Parliament that none of them had ever worked a day in their lives while seated infront of Vytenis, born in a Siberian prison camp, 1st surgeon in Lithuania to carry out a heart transplant, fought for independence and became one of Lithuania's founding fathers🤦♀️

Today is 3yrs since the biggest mass drowning in the Channel in over 30yrs. The victims, who included a 7 year old girl, made numerous calls for help but no search & rescue responded. 12hrs later a fisherman found the bodies.
Had they been European they would have been saved.

These two men are very precious. Nicky Winton (right) saved the life of Alf Dubs by arranging for the kindertransport to take 669 children from Prague to safety in the UK.
The so-called Dubs amendment 80 years later saved the lives of 480 unaccompanied refugee children fleeing war in Syria.
