Literally, it feels so normal (although stressful) while its happening, then you hear about other people's relationships with their parents and its like "Oh so your mom didn't say it traumatized her when you moved out to live with your partner? I'm not supposed to be scared of my mom?"

I hope one day awareness on this topic is everywhere. It's been very hard for me to find resources to help, but at least there's communities for venting & relating on reddit 😭

my advice for the day is that if you were raised as a daughter and are unsure why you hate your mother and feel uncomfortable around her, please research mother-daughter SA, emotional emmeshment/incest, and non-contact CSA. i wish it was more discussed
