A bill with bipartisan support to bring safe drinking water to people in Colorado is vetoed by Trump.
Why?
It appears he’s pressuring Colorado to free his crooked ally who is imprisoned for tampering with voting systems.
Trump doesn’t give a crap about anything but his own money and power.

No president has ever made the United States less respected. We're being disrespected like never before. It's incredible. Many people are saying.

Unfortunately, it isn't funny, but we can laugh at him at least. lnk.thebulwark.com/4seItFL

All based on a “gotcha” video claiming that 3 daycares had no kids. One hadn’t opened yet for the day; one is actually closed. Dude arrived with no I.D. No call ahead. They DIDN’T LET HIM IN!

The fraud they’re referencing was investigated & prosecuted by the Biden DOJ. The ringleader was white.
This is monstrous. He wants to turn the residents of the state against Walz and against the Somali-American population.
BREAKING

The Trump administration says it has frozen all childcare payments to Minnesota in the aftermath of allegations of fraud by some in the Somali community.

Important: allegations along these lines have existed for years, which has resulted in prosecutions starting with the Biden DOJ.

This is Trump’s long game.

We’ve spent years cracking down on fraudsters. It’s a serious issue - but this has been his plan all along.

He’s politicizing the issue to defund programs that help Minnesotans.

Trump has often threatened-most notably during COVID-to refuse aid for people or states that don’t support him

But it always seems to be some great shock to MAGA when Trump shows them that, for him, loyalty is a one way street

Lauren Boebert just found that out the hard way

Trump has pardoned: Philip Esformes of 1.3 billion fraud claims in health care; Salomon Melgen 42 million (florida); Judith Negron 100s of millions; John Davis 4.6 million in kickbacks. Why is he allowing federal funds to still flow AND why are these cheaters set free?

Yes, and add to that the fact that Trump 1.0 was not nearly as bad as it could have been because Miller and others were stymied on many fronts, further leading to many people thinking the second term would be largely a repeat of the blowhardism of the first term.
I don’t fully understand the way people hold the ideas that the media is a fucking mess and social media algorithms are manipulated in their heads simultaneously with the belief that everyone understood and cosigned Trump’s plans

This is authoritarian rot in plain sight. A DOJ weaponized against “enemies” of a sitting president isn’t law enforcement — it’s vengeance. That’s how democracies die: not overnight, but when power decides dissent is a crime.
