"The Guy with the Eyes", by Spider Robinson.

The first of the "Callahan's" stories. Your opinion on this story is likely to be affected by how cynical you are irl. Personally, I found the story very charming.

Audaz pensar que aún tendremos televisión en el futuro.

Total. Es complejo. Y es cierto que el diseño actual de redes es un peligro para todos, adultos y niños. Pero a mí no me queda duda que hay unos intereses fuertes dedicados a prevenir el crecimiento de ciertas corrientes de pensamiento en los jóvenes y eso me da pausa.

Yo reconozco el peligro como padre y como persona que fue un early adopter del internet y sobretodo como persona que tuvo que liberarse de los males de las redes sociales... Pero mi sospecha es que estás normas no son por el bien de los jóvenes, sino para parar el crecimiento de ciertas ideologías.

Una gran parte del crecimiento de los últimos años en participación juvenil en movimientos sociales ha provenido de las redes sociales. En estos momentos donde los jóvenes LGTBQ+ están tan atacados, las redes son a veces lo más cercano a tener comunidad.

Eso no es tan bueno como lo pintan. Lo digo como persona que detesta las redes sociales. Es un paso más hacia el control gubernamental del internet y el desmorone de la libertad de expresión. Pasito a pasito, hasta que no tengamos nada.

20. "Pioneers of the Pathway", by Stuart Jaffe.

A family drama on a space colony/wormhole portal development setting with a murder investigation as a framing narrative. The book tries to do a lot and manages to maintain focus, though it sometimes invites questions it can't answer.

My second favorite type of voice acting, second to US TV circa 1980s Saturday Morning cartoon villain.
