If Canada had simply offered to trade the possibility of the tax - it doesn't give the President the 'I forced them to back down' chest thump he needs to go forward...so begin to implement it - and lose some face...(but no money as nothing has been done to structure it yet)...and a win win situation

Canada gives up a tax it hadn't implemented yet, that would have been unpopular here (as taxes tend to be) and gives the President a victory. If a trade deal saving auto industry / aluminum etc...is announced in the coming weeks this may point the way forward for other nations.

I would guess Peter Bros here in Penticton. Have been supportive of the community, and the Vees...pay every year for free tickets for 16 and under etc....and have significant cash. The efforts to create a super BC - Alta league were dashed by the WHL / NCAA rule change so if you can't beat em ...
