NDP let the labour aspect of their support slip away.

They instead took in all the outliers on the left, embracing extreme social & political ideologues, & made that a big part of their identity.

The result is an unelectable party that is nearly the Left’s PPC.

They must move more to centre.

These situations also lead to what many call “Education Inflation” or “Credentialism”.

Young people have degrees/diplomas that don’t get them jobs, so they get another or upgrade.

That means more debt, delayed careers, & being overqualified for jobs.

The end result is job insatisfaction.

Everyone in Soo knew about upcoming job losses (800-1000 people).

This is about electrification & automation, not tariffs as was the initially implied cause a few days ago before media looked into it.

Workers wanted more conditions for hob protection with gov’t loans but had little to no say.

Au moins il parle français. 😝

Je n’ai jamais eu beaucoup de confiance en lui comme ministre. Il est trop motivé par son idéologie et ceci a toujours impacté sa capacité de faire le travail de façon objective.

Peut-être it peut remplacer May au lieu.

I know it’s 6 SCU in the back, but I’ve not been able to find how much is held in the buffer.

Anyone know?

Military autonomy & production capacity (+spinoffs) from SAAB are more impactful than simply buying the Lockheed’s imo.

Forgive me, but the idea of working control surfaces in a game that literally has flying boxes (Cutter) & ships with thruster placement that would send them into uncontrolled spins in space, let alone atmosphere (Cutty), is something that has never excited me since concept. 🤷‍♂️

Great content tho! 👍

NDP is broke & actually at risk of defaulting on its loans last time I checked.

They are also leaderless & wouldn’t be able to adequately fundraise.

I think NDP members are going to be told to abstain or miss the vote, that way, they can say they didn’t support it.

He knows darn well that it will pass. NDP will abstain. They are broke & leaderless. There is no way the NDP want to force an election in the state they are in.

Canada already does this for people entering the country. Frankly, the headline is a bit disingenuous by implying it’s only a US thing.

When Truman redid the whole interior of the Whitehouse (basement included I think) & added the balcony (at his own expense), there was much gnashing of teeth (especially about the balcony that Reps & Archeological historians hated). Now, that balcony is iconic.
It’s only the wing if a building.

Furthermore, it’s these kind of instantly oppositional takes on change & expenditures that are the reason our own Prime Minister is living at Rideau Cottage & has no official residence. (And also why it certainly be a shitstorm once they decide what to do with 24 Sussex.)
October 23, 2025 at 8:05 PM
That is funny, but to be more objective on this than the OP, the White House has undergone myriad changes & renovations over the years & will undergo more in the years to come.

I am not a fan of Trump, but people are clutching their pearls just a bit too tightly on this one IMO.

The fact the boy was driving a car & trying to flee from police should be the major element of the headline, no?

Quote:
…"put people over corporate profit," "refuse ongoing colonialism," "demand full immigration status for all," "end the war machine" and “end the era of fossil fuels".

These marches are the ones I avoid bc even if some issues are just, the event often gets highjacked by anarchists & crazies.

My comment was about the article’s lack of content or any depth & had little to do with policy.
I accept that we all have inherent biases, but sweeping comments serve little purpose in advancing any meaningful discussion.
That said, I sincerely hope you have a good day.
September 15, 2025 at 1:41 PM
What a terribly superficial article with a completely misrepresentative headline.
There’s nothing in it aside from a rehash of decisions that have nothing to do with “progressives” aside from potential cuts to staffing, likely through attrition (not mentioned).

Don’t waste a free read on this one.

This afternoon, she said, after getting 57% support, that she would stay on, but a few hours is an eternity in politics.

This is ostensibly good news for the Ontario Liberals in light of Ms Crombie’s poor outing in the last election due to her lack of presence & poor leadership qualities.
