Actually won at a claw machine

This Perfectly Normal boy is the mini from the 3E box with a reattached arm, painted almost 30 years later. There’s gold and green-blue under the black, and there’s some neon yellow that would hopefully shine under black light (untested). High gloss varnish to resemble a xenomorph from Aliens.

This is the Bounty Hunter variant, from a blind box out of the Mercenaries Kickstarter. It’s green to match the official scheme but minus its money symbols and checkerboard patterns. I use Speedpaint and those seem like they’d be a nightmare to do with them.
I also painted the torso jump jet green.😬

This one is painted to match the Macross Glaug (macross2.net/m3/sdfmacros...). The autocannon turret on this is pretty droopy - I tried the hot water trick to straighten it out, but a few days later it was droopy again.

The Marauder. A #BattleTech classic, although when I opened the 3E box I thought it should have missile pods on the shoulders - at the time, my knowledge of BattleTech lore was mostly the front cover of MechWarrior 2.

You can see that the AC5 on the stock 3R Marauder is longer and thinner, with aeration holes on the barrel tip.

(It also suddenly occurs to me that I have only assumed that they are a PPC and a Gauss Rifle to match the variants on the Alpha Strike card, but I guess I don’t actually know for sure.)

Last one for the night. Wolverines! I got started with the #BattleTech 3E box set after MechWarrior 2 came out, but the miniatures went unpainted until this fall. Some (most) of them have disappeared or broken over the decades, which is why I didn’t show off an old Archer.

The red and black one is the Morgan Kell from the Clan Invasion Kickstarter blind boxes.

Starting with the Jenner IIC. They’re pretty bad in a #BattleTech game so they were painted early on.

The blue and black one was the first mini I ever painted, along with an Archer in the same colours. The green and blue one is in homage to their colour art in the original Technical Readout 3055.
