Loved the first couple of seasons when it was more grounded (to an extent) by actual history and had the 60s aesthetic but it's ace. My only gripe is Joel Kinnaman's old age make-up does not convince

Amongst other things, it wasn't clear why they launched so few interceptor missiles. I know they're expensive and there aren't many of them but you're tracking only one inbound missile and no evidence of others. Fire more than 2.

By the time this gets through the usual development and contractual bun fight, only 2 keels will get laid down and then take years to get completed before being quietly mothballed. Zumwalt class clusterfuck on steroids incoming.

I discovered it was a genuine record yesterday. I'd only heard it on podcast adverts for Amazon music and thought it was a terrible AI generated fake Christmas song they'd slapped in to avoid paying royalties.

Figured the DoP and Asst Director would have been doing a lot of heavy lifting on this one. DoP worked with the director before on a slightly tonally different film.
