I'm not the sort to bear a grudge, however, you should keep in mind, I am the sort who often bears a sword...
As we get into the Holiday season, keep in mind, for those last-minute shopping ideas, that I have given myself dispensation to sell indulgences and religious "relics," at fantastic prices. Hit me up.

I'm going to start an OnlyFans, but it's just going to be me in various historical costumes doing everyday activities.

I expect to retire by next Thursday.

I feel that I must announce to the world at large that I just managed to cook a pretty serviceable omelet in... wait for it... the air fryer.

Is there no end to my talent?

This is another of those days in which I put my blood, sweat and tears into everything I do.

Not so much because I care, but because it's hot, and I'm clumsy...

Trump is all of the things that, traditionally, would have made him a pariah - a liar, a thief, a coward, a rapist.

Yet, it's those who claim to support traditional values who support him the most. It's almost like they have no values at all...

When I tell you that I am a very poor carpenter, it is only so that you will understand that the two very simple carpentry projects I undertook this morning...

1. Took much longer than needed.

2. Were very poorly done.

3. Required a LOT of swearing.

Observation: it is possible to cook migas in an air fryer.

Observation: scientifically speaking, all bugs are insects, but not all insects are bugs.

I've made a few observations over the last couple of days, but I'll share them out slowly over the next few days, so as not to overwhelm anyone. Stay tuned.

I know people worry that if, by whatever means, Trump is removed from office, we're in even worse trouble because that makes Vance President.

Don't worry.

No one likes Vance and he has the charisma of a damp towel. He won't be able to actually get anything done. Bring him on.

I want to get ahead of the "lamestream" media on this, but I have successfully cut my toenails. There are no injuries being reported at this time, but we do realize that it's still early. We will be standing by with any updates.

We've always been pretty cool here at A Play on Swords, but now, thanks to Roanoke Public Library, we're sticker cool!

Your first official pre-show selfie of the 2025 Summer Reading season!

It is very nearly Summer Reading Season!

Keep an eye out at your local library for one of these disreputable fellows...

Apparently, it is drive like an absolute idiot (even more than usual) day today, if anyone was wondering.

I realize that the sort of people who will do it won't care what I think about it, but I will have no patience or dealings with those either mocking President Joe Biden's illness or using it as some part of their personal conspiracy theory fantasies.

There is no faster way for someone to convince me that they are a POS than to immediately accuse a sick person and their family of lying about when they fell ill because the conspiracy theory it would confirm is so enticing.

This isn't TV. It's real life. Stop recycling West Wing plots.

Just in case you have that whole nostalgia-driven false memory thing going on, here's your reality check: line dancing was never cool.

Just stop it.

I guess we could make it a game, place bets every night about whether when we wake up, the current regime will have done something breathtakingly corrupt or breathtakingly stupid - 'cuz we know it's going to be one or the other.

A busy but productive morning, giving way to an afternoon of being as useless as possible.

The average American has three friends.

(Please ignore the fact that these are three British fellows playing French fellows, for our purposes here.)

So, best we can tell, one of the confirmed tornadoes missed us to the east by a few miles, and one of the not-yet-confirmed tornadoes missed us by a bit more to the west.

Don't know about other damage yet, will survey when the sun comes out.

Still, a rather eventful evening.
