Please stop feeding the misunderstanding that either a trade deficit or federal debt (which Trump is mixing up here) are inherently bad. Neither is a problem per se. He’s using them as an excuse for bad acts. They DON’T MATTER!

I don’t know. But legally this won’t form the basis of an asylum claim. It’s not even close.

You have to prove your life is in danger due to specific threats made by government actors at you due to your political affiliation, religion, race, national origin, or membership in a particular social group. (Very very hard to prove.)

I have dual citizenship with the UK and it’s easy enough to move there. But this is MY COUNTRY and I will be part of the resistance. I will work to make it better. I will flee only when my life is in danger and I can only help by staying alive by being abroad. Musk can get the hell out. I’m staying.
