It definitely tamps down on any sense of community when you can't know if you're interacting with real people.

2/2 this isn't about people walking up the jetway to their wheelchair. If they need a wheelchair they need to reserve it no matter where they hop on. I've been flying for 20+ years and it's been going on to some degree as long as I can remember.

I fly a lot of flights to and from Mexico and people will "abuse" this because they basically get to bypass the customs line.
