Eventually he pulls up near where I am waiting to cross the road and the pigeons all land in a great crowd in front of him and he is counting them off "TWO TWENTY ONE TWO TWENTY TWO TWO TWENTY THREE"

He arrives at speed onto the the little traffic island with the mini Big Ben shouting like a drill sergeant "CALLING ALL PIGEONS CALLING ALL PIGEONS." Circles twice babbling something I cannot catch as the pigeons flock above him.

I went to an album launch there some years ago and remember very clearly looking down and realising I was resting my beer on a speaker the same price as the house I'd just bought.
