It’s honestly why I tend not to engage with anime fandoms at all.

Im thinking they’re looking at making the fast-food equivalent for music. They want a fast & cheap way of cranking out “music” without the development of talent.

to that point on lack of imagination/empathy, they seem to believe art is only as valuable as the end result (pretty pictures/sounds), not the time, effort, community and humanity that creates it and the dialogue that surrounds it.
