As an airline pilot, that’s a bit of reckless take and honestly sounds like a complete fabrication. Based on known details at this time, it genuinely looks like an honest mistake by the helo pilot. Nothing on the ATC side of it looks negligent or compromised at this time.

It’s still one of the safest ways to travel and my colleagues and I take tremendous pride in that distinction.
