Thanks to Val Kilmer for his contribution to many great films. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is but one of my favorites.

NEW: AI bots caused Wikipedia's bandwidth costs to increase by 50 percent last year, and are still growing exponentially. I wrote about its plan to fight back — and whether it will be enough. www.platformer.news/wikipedia-ai...

That's the inside of the (old) radar from our boat. No reason for posting it, I just thought it was interesting.

Installed a new chartplotter (Axiom Pro 2) from #Raymarine today. Now I'm trying to understand the interface. Anyone know how to get it to display wind speed, boat speed, etc. while looking at the chart? I checked the network devices and it saw the instruments okay, so I know it has the data.

Made my first YouTube video today from our snorkel around Anse de Colombier: youtu.be/Bbxwo1NoUMw. If you like poorly edited videos or #fish, #turtles, #sealife then this might be worth a look...

Saw a super yacht up close this morning (5am) while sailing overnight from Antigua to St Bart's). Dark night, pouring rain, and we took evasive maneuvers while under sail to avoid a collision. Exciting start to the new year! #sailing #nearmiss #rightofway

The result: better than expected! A light fluffy loaf, perhaps a little bland, but very edible. We'll be making this again.

Trying to make #Schär #glutenfree #bread today with instructions that say how important it is to follow them precisely! Feels like I'm being set up so failure is my fault. High hopes, low expectations.

Impromptu MOB drill today. Good work from the crew to point our missing "passenger", and bringing the boat around quickly, but alas our bucket still sank when trying to hook it with a fending pole. Left me wondering how best to recover a passenger if they're unresponsive. Thoughts? #sailing #mob

At the risk of creating unnecessary complexity, why can't my hatches close themselves when it rains?
